PickMeUp — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

PickMeUp ("the app", "we", "us") is a novelty app that plays a sound when you pick up or set down your phone. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle. In short: the app collects no personal information and works entirely on your device.

Information we do not collect

PickMeUp does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or any personally identifying information. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.

Sensors we use

The app reads your device's motion sensor (accelerometer) to detect when the phone is lifted or set down. This motion data is processed live on your device only, is never recorded, and never leaves your phone. The app does not use the microphone or camera.

Data stored on your device

This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Subscriptions and payments

Optional paid subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details. To manage your subscription status, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your Google Play purchase token and an anonymous, randomly generated identifier so it can tell whether your subscription is active. This information is tied to that random identifier, not to your name or contact details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy for how those services handle data.

Children

PickMeUp is intended for a mature audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
